This ACT will focus on increasing clinical efficacy while using professional BioFlex laser therapy systems on the following lumbosacral conditions: Disc herniation, spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, degenerative disc and joint disease, acute muscle spasm, spondylosis and spondylolisthesis. Lectures will consist of anatomy and pathophysiology reviews, laser research review, case studies and BioFlex protocol customization for these commonly treated lumbosacral conditions.

SPEAKERS:

Benjamin Yuen has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science degree from Bridgeport University. He completed his chiropractic training at Anglo European University College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, UK. Dr. Yuen has been a practicing chiropractor for the past 43 years and has lectured throughout Canada, England, China, South Africa and the United States. He has also served four years as Director, Post Graduate and Continuing Education Division at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Yuen currently operates a very busy and successful clinic in Nova Scotia where his Laser clinic is the largest in Eastern Canada. He has effectively integrated laser therapy into his chiropractic practice especially in the area of musculoskeletal disorders.

Slava Kim, Meditech Rehab Clinic, Toronto. Slava has been the Clinic Director at the Meditech Rehab for over 15 years under the tutelage of Dr. Fred Kahn. He will present on common degenerative lumbosacral spinal conditions including case studies on spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis and degenerative disc and joint disease.

Dr. David Kunashko, DC Meditech Rehab Clinic. Dr. Kunashko has been the Director of Education and Training for over 10 years and will discuss practical laser probe techniques & parameters for the lumbosacral region. These techniques provide more education on effective depths of penetration, how to access deep and superficial structures and provide analgesia using high energy densities of the BioFlex laser probes.
